I was alone, most of my family were in Ethiopia so I had to figure out what kind of future I want to build in my life. I became more confident and independent to interact with British culture. And I decided to study Law and human rights because one day when I will return to my country and I will fight for those who are/have been oppressed”. Journeys Festival International 2019. Part of “Portrait of a City”. The project turns Leicester into an outdoor gallery featuring images of individuals representing Leicester’s diverse community.
